The Workshop focuses on
:
- Studies, trends, researches
and experiences in using multimedia and computer aided physics
teaching and learning.
- Studies
and research results that characterise and identify those factors
involved in improving teaching and learning physics by multimedia
instruments, and in improving educational practice related more
generally to the use of information computer technology.
- The
new internet resources and internet on-line services and applets
for teaching and learning physics.
One of the main topics will be the presentation,
by short talks, of the "state of the art" in these fields for different
European Countries, with the aim of discussing the standardisation
and the exchange of resources between the various projects running
in different countries.
Several discussion items can or will
be touched during the meeting, as there are:
- MM (multimedia)
and other subjects, like chemistry
- MM in
students labs
- Simplifyng a topic in physics using a MM representation
- MM and
learning theory, learning psychology...
- role of the teacher in a MM based teaching and learning
environment
- first
examples of MM textbooks in physics
- trend to Java applets, Physlets
- remote
lab
- websites for physics teachers, internet portals
- evaluation
per net and computer ( tracking and monitoring)
- virtual
tutoring of students
- synchronous
and asynchronous communication techniques
- virtual university in terms of "just in time
teaching" (JiTT)
MAIN TALKS
- At the moment we haven't the title and the abstract
